Originally, this was the official website for Meadow Farm House at Bleasby Moor in the Parish of Legsby, near Market Rasen Lincolnshire. Just look at the beautiful English countryside.
The farm house was owned by Nick Grimshaw.
Below is the address of the house :
Meadow Farm House
It was a well established privately owned family business that catered for clientele who preferred a peaceful and serene place, and appreciated the beauty of the open countryside.
The Farm house was available for booking all year round for people who wanted short holiday in Lincolnshire.
It was situated on the outskirts of Bleasby Moor, approximately 4 miles south of Market Rasen and 12 miles north of Historic Lincoln. The nearest shops are at Market Rasen and the closest public phone and pub with good food is at Lissington, 1½ mile away, therefore some form of transport is essential.
As the above picture shows the farm house was in a rural location with no immediate neighbors. The north wing of the property was effectively a totally refurbished centrally heated 2 bedroom bungalow. It was self-contained, having a good sized double bedroom and a similar sized twin bedded room (the divans could be zipped together to make another double bed). There was a large lounge with French windows to a private patio and rear garden. The kitchen/diner was a good size. There was also a shower room and separate toilet. Ample car parking space was too available.
The farm house was classified as Four Star accommodation by the Heart of England Tourist Board on the 11/07/2006.
I’m not sure if the farm house still exists. If it is still operational, I’d be glad to make a visit there and maybe spend a short holiday. However, I’ve decided to undertake the task of reviving this website of the farm house and will be publishing travel information about Lincolnshire and its environs.
Already there some great posts that I’ve managed to collect about the area and I‘ve already published them. If you desire to learn more about the region, then you need to click through the topics below to access the posts. In the meantime, I’ll be collecting more posts and publishing them here.
I was interested to see the Broadbent theatre, shown below. It’s in the neighborhood, not too far away.
Another thing I’m always interested in is airports. Here’s the airport at Lincoln, in Lincolnshire, UK, at the suburb of Waddington.
Nearby is the Wickenby aerodrome, and you can see how it used to be a much larger airport.
And look at this. Inbetween Spridlington and Newtoft, there is the completely abandoned airport.
All of this is is pleasing to me, because I went to England for a spitfire training course, and naturally I’m a fan of aviation in the UK, the Battle of Britain, and so on. And back home in Canada, I’m often on the look-out for abandoned airfields to visit. I’m Dr. Steven Halls, a radiologist in Canada, with hobbies that I like to blog about on halls.ca, apparently.
I have a few other websites as well that I love to work on, adding more and more information each day. I have breast-cancer.ca, for those of you wanting to know everything about the different types of breast cancer… I have icnet.uk, which is a website specifically about lung conditions, like lung cancer… and last but not least, a popular website all about various methods which lead to successful weight loss, as well as delicious diets, helpful/fun exercises, and so on. People love this one. Check them out yourself!
